Also, I appreciate roles like Tracy from Hairspray and Jan from Grease because it gives fat performers a real chance in the spotlight with good songs and everything.
I just wish that a role could be written for a fat girl that didn’t primarily focus on how fat she is.
i was going to write paragraph upon paragraph, but just one example of the kind of thing i want: i want to watch a movie like ‘drive’ where the ryan gosling character is a fat woman.
because don’t tell me ‘oh there are loads of movies like that.’
cause there aren’t.
